Hi, I'm Arman

An accidental HTML file, years of tkinter games and a couple of tries at C# and C++, and then October 2023, when I stopped messing around and started learning properly.

The first thing I ever made was an accident. I was eleven or twelve, messing around on my computer, and somehow ended up with an .html file. I opened it and the text I'd typed was sitting there in the browser, like a real web page.

I had no idea what HTML was. I just wanted to do it again on purpose.

So I learned some HTML, then CSS, then enough JavaScript to make things move. A while after that I found Python, and for a long time Python mostly meant tkinter. I made tiny desktop apps and simple games with it, and with whatever other libraries like it I could find. Small stuff, usually one window and a few buttons. I tried C# because I wanted to make games, and C++ a couple of times.

None of it was serious, but I kept coming back to it.

In October 2023 I decided to stop messing around and actually learn this.

The proper version

For almost two years after that, I took private lessons over Zoom with Geko Education, a school based in Armenia. That's where I learned full-stack development the structured way: React on the front end, Python and Django on the back end, PostgreSQL underneath.

Most of the rest I picked up on my own. System design, fundamentals, how people actually keep a codebase from falling apart: I learned those by building something every day and dealing with whatever broke.

What I'm building now

Mostly developer tools and AI infrastructure.

orchestrat is the one I use the most. I run Codex and Claude Code at the same time pretty often, and orchestrat is the shared workspace that stops them from tripping over each other. They claim tasks, leave each other comments, and keep the project docs up to date. I didn't set out to make my own favorite tool, but if it disappeared tomorrow it's the one I'd miss first.

The others:

  • Envy moves .env files out of your repo and into the macOS Keychain.
  • ModelPort sits between your AI tools and every provider, and translates between OpenAI and Anthropic request formats.
  • Mock AI API is a fake OpenAI and Anthropic server for testing the parts of your app that fail.
  • Pai is a Telegram assistant that plans my study time around work and keeps an eye on Canvas for me.

What I'm looking for

An internship as a software engineer at a tech company, first. I've learned a lot building alone, and I'd like to see how a real team does it.

At the same time I want orchestrat and Pai, which are both public on GitHub, to become projects people actually use, and I'm open to freelance work, especially developer tooling, AI integrations or full-stack products.

Otherwise

I'm introverted. I drink a lot of coffee (the footer on this site says it was made with "care and strong coffee," which is just accurate). When I'm not at my desk I'm usually out with my friends.

That's me. If you want to work together, or just talk about any of this, email me at armanghev747@gmail.com or DM me on X at @armanghev.
